Finally, the grace period deadline was met without Argentina making its USD 503 million payment corresponding to coupons of global bonds. Thus, the country fell into default for the ninth time in its history. The government decided to extend the deadline of the exchange until June 2nd, and with no comments about progress regarding negotiations with bondholders.
